About Our Webinar

This webinar project is a reflective and inclusive platform designed to explore the often-overlooked experiences of discrimination, exclusion, and harassment that students faced during their state school education. While schools are meant to be spaces of learning, growth, and safety, many individuals — especially those from marginalized or misunderstood backgrounds — carry silent memories of being treated unfairly by peers or, at times, even by authority figures.

Rather than focusing on blame or accusation, this project emphasizes storytelling, awareness, and healing. Participants will be invited to share personal experiences in a respectful space, discuss the broader cultural and systemic factors that may have shaped these experiences, and collectively imagine better ways to foster empathy and inclusion in educational environments.

The aim is to give voice to experiences that were once ignored or dismissed, encourage open dialogue, and promote understanding across generations. By unpacking our past school lives, we hope to contribute to a more conscious and supportive community — both within and beyond the classroom.
